West End Neighbours hold a Café on Building a Community Dialogue

The guest speaker is Mel Lehan.

Let’s get ready for the great West End community planning challenge!

This café will be a great opportunity to meet with your neighbours and share ideas on how we can work together to build a reliable planning framework for the community we want to live in. Bring your questions and ideas to explore with other participants!

As a warm-up, well-known community activist Mel Lehan will give a talk on the benefits of resident engagement in the community planning process.

How can we develop the best collaborative framework for planning the future of our community?

As residents of the West End, how can we participate in the current discussion on important community planning decisions that will affect our neighbourhood?

How do we mobilize the wealth of wisdom and creative energy to be found in our community?

How do we develop trust among all stakeholders?

How do we engage more people in the current discussion on community needs vs planning policy decisions – including the under-represented and hard to reach members of our community?
