On September 13, 2011, workers began at 7:50 and by 9 am this holly tree was down. This is the third tree to come down around Maxine’s. Apparently, the first on the corner of the back lane was diseased and the tree on the corner of Davie was also in poor shape. But whatever the reasons for taking these trees down, it is also a fact that their removal now serves Millenenium/Concord Pacific efforts to display the site to their advantage. Have all tree protection and replacement bylaws been respected?
