West End-Coal Harbour Community Policing Office
1267 Davie Street
11 am – 3 pm, Saturday 29 September, 2012
Saturday September 29, 2012, is Community Policing Day!! This is the one day of the year that Community Policing Centres are encouraged to open their doors to the public and allow them a glimpse of the inner workings of the organization. As with past years, the WECHCPC will be showcasing it’s more interactive activities (Child ID, Bike Safety/Engraving, and Speed Watch programs), conducting a tour of the office and meet and greet, encouraging community and business members to participate in a Graffiti Paint Out with the West End Clean Up and the West End BIA, and having a famous buffet style lunch of veggies, cheese, meat, spinach dip, snacks, hot and cold beverages, and cake to celebrate our 15 Year Anniversary. They will also be introducing to the community some of the volunteers in their newest program, the Youth Action Initiative.
This year they are doing something different and we are cross-promoting CPC Day with Granville Street CPC and their Emery Barnes Park festivities. When you attend the CPC, please pick up a CPC Day Passport and collect three of six stickers/stamps at the designated activities. Then travel to Granville CPC with your passport and collect the final three stickers at their designated activities. It’s a great way to experience the two CPCs and a fun way to see how they work together to make our area the best place in Vancouver.
For a beautiful neighbourhood, invest in our kids.
