Comment from West End Neighbours: This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our elected officials, just as the West End planning process is in mid-stream. Since 13,000 people have signed our petition asking for a comprehensive plan, it’s the first chance to meet as a community with these officials to talk about development issues. Vision’s entire team was a no-show at the election candidates’s meeting for our community in November 2011, and the West End Mayor’s Advisory Committee (WEMAC) never held a meeting for residents. So here is a rare chance for people of the West End to meet them directly.
WEN will be preparing some questions and posting online before the meeting. Sign up now!
Note: Aaron Jasper was formerly a director of West End Residents Association. Cherie Payne was co-chair of WEMAC. Tim Stevenson has been the voice of the West End on City Council for years. Note also that this event is organized by Vision Vancouver, not by the City of Vancouver.
