Message from West End Planning Team November 1, 2013.
We wanted to provide a brief update on the West End community planning process.
The draft West End Community Plan, draft West End Design Guidelines for Infill Housing, and draft Rezoning Policy for the West End were released on October 22nd.
Over the past week, we held a series of Learning Sessions, which provided an opportunity to learn about the draft plan, understand how it will help shape the future of the community, ask questions, and tell us what you think.
If you were unable to attend one of the Learning Sessions, you can review the draft community plan and fill out the questionnaire online to provide your feedback. The questionnaire is open until midnight on November 13, 2013. The questionnaire, draft plan, and related documents are all available on our webpage. Additionally, a PDF of the Learning Sessions presentation is available on our webpage under ‘Documents’, ‘Public Engagement’. [6 MB, here is the link]
Hard copies of the draft plan are available for review at Joe Fortes Library, West End Seniors Network and Gordon Neighbourhood House.
We anticipate that the draft West End Community Plan, Rezoning Policy, and Design Guidelines for Infill Housing will be considered by City Council on November 20, 2013. Stay tuned for more details next week.
Thank you for your continued interest and help in shaping the draft West End Community Plan.
